Are you a bike mechanic?
To ensure quality, friendly, and efficient bicycle repair services, Kids In Motion only considers bicycle mechanics who can complete the following tasks:

Replace tires and tubes

Replace cables and brakes

Brake adjustments
-
Set Screw adjustment
-
Slight truing of a wheel
-
Derailleur adjustment
-
Headset adjustment
-
Bottom bracket adjustment
-
Hub adjustment
-
Cutting and replacing the chain
-
Removing/adding chain links
-
Determining if the chain is stretched
-
Remove and replace grips
-
Replacing broken spoke
-
Identifying the issues above
Bicycle Mechanics receive a competitive stipend!
If you can perform basic repairs, but not all of the repairs listed above, and you would still like to help with repairs, please sign up as an assistant bike mechanic. This helps us to ensure we have enough coverage at each event.
